Happy Anniversary!!

I can't believe it's been 6 years! The time has just flown by. I am so lucky to be married to Eric. I have had a wonderful and blessed life since marrying him. Below is a recap of some of the highlights from the last 6 years (if it seems to include more pics since Emma was born, that's because we lost most of our pictures from before). Thank you Eric for making it all possible. I love you.

Bowling

Yesterday, after doing nothing for a good part of the day (and loving it), we went bowling with my brother and his family. The kids bowled in one lane and the adults in another. This was Emma's second time bowling and she loved it as much as the first time we went. She probably liked it more since her cousins were there too. All the kids did really great. Emma even got a strike, but since all the kids were kind of going out of turn, their scores were all mixed up, and Emma didn't end up getting credit for it. Good thing they didn't care and that none of us parents cared either. It didn't really matter since the kids all beat the adults. Yup, they kicked our trash! I could claim that we all had a bad night, but you probably wouldn't believe me. Rude. Anyway, here is a video of Emma making a spare and some other pics including the scores. I did remove our names so you at least wouldn't know which adults scored what. We have to preserve what little pride we have!

New Year's Eve

Happy New Year!!
Yesterday morning Emma's friend came over to play while us moms watched Mamma Mia - pretty funny. The kids had fun making a huge mess in Emma's room (isn't this how all kids play?). Then after getting some yummy treats ready we headed over to my parents house where we had fun with my family. We had a potato bar and some delicious soups along with way too may yummy appetizers. It was all so good. Just for fun and to try it, one of the things Eric and I made was an Awesome Blossom (or Bloomin Onion for you Outback fans). It turned out really well. Here's some of the food as it was all being placed out.
For the remainder of the evening, the adults did this...
playing several different games, while the kids (even though only one of the kids is in this picture) did this...
not once, not twice, but 4.2 times! I don't think they need to watch any more movies for quite awhile.

We set off a few fireworks at midnight, had a toast, and listened to the kids (who were all complete angels the entire night! - seriously, they were so so good) shout 'happy new year' as many times as they could. It was fun to see family again, and it's always fun to play games (I'm a gamer, what can I say?). There's no better way to ring in the new year.
