We flew from Phoenix to Denver to spend the weekend with Eric's family. Eric had driven back to meet us there. Emma loved the plane! I think this was her 10th time on a plane, so she's done it several times before, but this was the first time she had her own seat. Maybe it was having her own seat or just being older, but she seemed so much more aware of everything that was going on. She loved looking out the window and thought it was funny seeing all the cars and buildings get so small. She also liked going through the clouds. She asked if we were in outerspace.
If you look closely, you can see that Emma had written "Janna" with 2 extra n's.
We had breakfast with Eric's parents and sister (and her family) before she left town. It was fun seeing her oldest again, and we got to meet her youngest son for the first time. He was so cute! All smiles the entire time. I can't wait to go back next week and spend more time with them.
It looks like they're actually playing doesn't it!
We had dinner with Eric's extended family and ate outside in the yard. It was such beautiful weather. It was fun seeing everyone.
The boys were playing Bocce.

Here you can see some of the detail work (awesome!)
While there, Emma slept in the library, and complained about being scared of a picture of George Washington they have over the mantel. I guess I'll have to work on her patriotism. Her first night she chose to sleep in the corner with all the children's books. In the picture you can see a ladder on the right. It goes up to a little loft where the grandkids usually like to sleep, but Emma really didn't like climbing down the ladder, so she opted for the ground level.
Emma was perfect in the car on the way home, and was really excited to see her room when we got here. It was a long trip, but a fun one.

where have you been on a plane so many times that Emma's flown 10 times? My first plane ride was to Disneyland when I was 12 years old. Those are great pictures. That one with Melissa looks more like Stephanie for some reason though.
